Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
1. Who is responsible for your information
Redneck Darts is a personal, non-commercial darts match-booking service operated by Ian Harford. Ian Harford is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
For privacy questions or requests, email ianfharford@gmail.com.
2. What information is collected
When you book a match, the service collects:
- your name;
- your Scolia or DartConnect username;
- your Scolia ID, if you choose to provide it;
- the league or competition you select;
- the date and time of the match; and
- information needed to manage the booking, such as its confirmation or cancellation status.
The service does not ask public visitors for an email address or telephone number.
This information is collected directly from you when you complete the booking form. Your name, platform username, selected competition and match time are needed to arrange the booking. A Scolia ID is optional. A booking cannot be made if the required information is not provided.
For security, the server receives your IP address and passes it to Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a booking request is being made by a person rather than an automated system. The IP address is not stored in the Redneck Darts booking record.
The website also uses limited performance and usage information to understand whether pages load and work correctly. This may include the page visited, browser or device type, approximate location derived from technical information, page performance and a short-lived session identifier.
The Login control is for Ian Harford's private administration area. Public visitors cannot create an account or sign in.
3. How the information is used
Booking information is used only to:
- arrange and manage the requested match;
- prevent two matches being booked for the same time;
- add the match to Ian Harford's private Google Calendar;
- show the booking in the private match calendar;
- deal with changes, cancellations or booking problems; and
- protect the service from spam, abuse and automated requests.
Personal information is not used for advertising or marketing and is not sold.
4. Lawful basis
Booking information is processed because it is needed to take steps at your request and arrange the match you have asked to book.
Technical and security information is processed for the legitimate interests of keeping the booking service secure, reliable and available. Limited usage statistics are used to understand and improve the website. They are not used to profile visitors or make decisions about them.
5. Who receives the information
Information is handled only by Ian Harford and the services needed to operate the website:
- Lovable Cloud, which hosts the website and booking database;
- Google Calendar, which stores the match time, competition, platform username and any Scolia ID supplied;
- Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks booking requests for spam and automated abuse; and
- service providers needed to deliver fonts, security, hosting and basic site performance information.
The player's name is stored in the private booking database but is not included in the Google Calendar event created by the booking service.
These providers may process information outside the UK. Where a transfer is not covered by UK adequacy regulations, appropriate safeguards are used where required. You can ask for more information about these safeguards using the contact details above.
6. How long information is kept
Booking information is kept only while it is reasonably needed to manage the match, prevent booking conflicts, resolve problems and maintain a limited booking record. It is then deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed.
Security and performance information is kept only for as long as needed for security checks, fault finding and aggregate website statistics.
You may ask for your booking information to be deleted earlier, unless it must be retained for a legal reason or to resolve an active issue.
7. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of your personal information;
- ask for inaccurate information to be corrected;
- ask for your information to be deleted;
- ask for the use of your information to be restricted;
- object to certain uses of your information; and
- ask for information you supplied in a portable format.
To exercise a right, email ianfharford@gmail.com. You may be asked for enough information to identify the relevant booking.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Your right to object
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, including limited website statistics. The objection will be considered unless there is a compelling lawful reason to continue the processing.
The service does not use profiling or make decisions about you solely by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
The booking pages may use essential storage needed for security, page operation and the private administrator session.
Lovable's limited site-performance analytics currently uses a short-lived session-id cookie, which expires after about 30 minutes. It is used to produce website usage and performance statistics, not for advertising or cross-site tracking.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if the booking service or its providers change. The latest version will always be published on this website with its revision date.
